Tow Truck Operator

Reports to:

Fleet Manager

Principal Function:

Provide prompt and courteous roadside assistance to club members

Duties:
  1. Respond promptly and courteously to assigned calls.
  1. Carefully service the distressed vehicle---by assessing the situation and determining the method of towing, securing the vehicle and providing safe delivery of the vehicle to its final destination.
  1. Completion of all paperwork required by the Club.
  1. Promote AAA Northwest Ohio.
  1. Other duties as may be assigned by Fleet Supervisor.

Requirements:

 Knowledge of basic automobile operation.

Ability to change a tire and perform basic roadside ‘fixes’.

Represent AAA Northwest Ohio in a positive manner.

Able to successfully pass a DOT physical & drug screen.

Clean and verifiable motor vehicle record (no SR22’s or FR Suspensions)

No felony convictions on criminal record.

 

Experience Desired:

Working knowledge of tow trucks and towing procedures. Lockout knowledge helpful. 1-2 years of prior towing experience.

Experience Required:

Skill and expertise in proper knowledge of tow trucks and towing procedures.

Education Background:

High school diploma
